Novice Sweater Junior - PetiteKnit

Novice Sweater Junior - PetiteKnit

The Novice Sweater Junior from PetiteKnit is, as its name suggests, THE sweater to knit if you are a beginner, if it is your first sweater in the round, or if you just want a simple sweater on your needles !

If you are a little more advanced and/or you want to avoid as much sewing as possible , you can cast off the collar at the time of the row just after the ribbing by reattaching your collar by picking up stitches and then knitting them together all the way through . This technique is also used in another pattern by the same designer, the Monday Sweater, which makes it easier in my opinion to construct the collar because it will avoid tightening your seam too much for example!

Knitted in 6mm (we recommend you make a good gauge before starting), this is a sweater that goes up very quickly and can be worn very quickly! We knitted it in a mix of Woolia and Kid Seta from Gepard Garn , which gave a superb result, at the same time warm, soft and light!

You will need:

  • 1-2 years: 4 balls of Woolia + 2 balls of Kid Seta
  • 2-3 years: 4 balls of Woolia + 2 balls of Kid Seta
  • 3-4 years: 4 balls of Woolia + 2 balls of Kid Seta
  • 4-5 years: 5 balls of Woolia + 3 balls of Kid Seta
  • 5-6 years: 5 balls of Woolia + 3 balls of Kid Seta
  • 6-7 years: 6 balls of Woolia + 3 balls of Kid Seta
  • 7-8 years: 6 balls of Woolia + 4 balls of Kid Seta
